BLOP at Arnolfini, Brighton Fringe debut, and Ludus Festival in Leeds!!
Thanks to all who gave us such a wonderful welcome at the Bristol Storytelling Festival. Both gigs - in the Watershed and my solo stint in St. Paul's Crypt at night - went so well, thanks to the lovely, warm Bristolians. I'm itching to spend more time down there...
As luck has it, Ten Cents a Dance is gearing up for its next showing at the Arnolfini is Bristol on Feb. 25! Be there! 11am sharp in the lobby. Join us for the entire day, and catch many other great performance makers from around the UK!
In other news, I am happy to announce that EVE SPEAKS: a musical cabaret will be touring to Brighton Fringe Festival on May 4-6, 2012, thanks to OtherPlace Productions at Upstairs@ Three and Ten right in the city centre (link here). I will also be performing at OtherPlace's launch event on May 3, which is at their larger Warren venue. Hurray!
Ten Cents has also been invited to participate at Leeds PSI18's Ludus Festival programme, which runs alongside the larger PSI conference as a separate artistic event. Ten Cents will straddle (excuse me) both the conference proper and the Ludus festival. We're looking for people to play with us in Leeds, so if you're interested, contact me!
Also, just a lovely tidbit I've been enjoying: videos from NYC's Creative Time Forum in August/September 2011, Claire Bishop especially: link HERE!

Thanks to all who splashed in the glory of cider ejaculate at EVE SPEAKS on Dec. 3. Almost sold out, folks, I'm liking it! We're currently pitching the show to other venues around the UK, so stay tuned. . .and if you enjoyed what you saw, tell your friends that EVE needs to speak to them!
In other news, TEN CENTS a DANCE will be performing at the feckin' ARNOLFINI on Feb. 25 2012 as part of BLOP in assocation with Theatre Bristol and InBetweenTime productions. We'll be setting up our market stall in the Arnolfini's esteemed lobby, so bring your loose change (and your loose morals)!
In other news, I'll be performing with THE CHANGELINGS as part of Bristol Storytelling Festival on Jan. 28 2012 at THE WATERSHED ! We've got a few changes up our sleeves for the show, so purchase your tickets soon and come on ova. Looking forward to seeing organizer Martin Maudsley do his thing again!

Changelings, Compass, PSI, etc!
Thanks to all who came to last week's sell-out performance of the Changelings! If you liked that, please come to my latenight cabaret Eve Speaks from the Garden of Eden next Saturday Dec. 3, at 10pm in the Round Studio of Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Wales, as part of Aber Storytelling Festival! I've just confirmed that yes, indeed, Ten Cents a Dance will be appearing as part of PSI 18 in Leeds 2012! At Compass Live Arts Festival this weekend, I'm planning on networking my way into some sort of relationship with a local Leeds-based arts organization,with the hopes that Ten Cents can appear both within the conference and in partnership with a city initiative! There are lots of cool things happening in Leeds at the moment, including the TimeBank I recently posted about, and I'm hoping to meet some interesting folks there.
Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, Ten Cents will also hopefully be appearing in a city near you very soon - there's rumors in the pipeline but I can't publicize until it's confirmed. More soon!

Two Changelings, brought up in isolation, travel through their lives unsure of whether they are Human or Fair Folk, male or female, uncertain of their place in a changing world, searching for love but unable to know who or what they should love. Follow the Folklorist and the Fairy One as they weave together new stories with traditional tales of the Welsh Fair Folk, with over 300 original projected paintings of real, yes real fairies, and live music and songs in a phantasmagorical Phairy Cabaret...."
